It all started when…
Inspired through the electricity of east coast consciousness of Brooklyn and the influence of Charleston, South Carolina. Lisa established her roots in community and experience - crafted by generational influence, Lisa curated her style alongside the women of the Sunday Dinner culture. Through this interaction she learned flavor nuances and dialogue through varied ingredients.
Sisterhood has been a foundational element in Lisa’s upbringing and overall life experience. It’s a testament to her grit, wanderlust, and passion that Lisa is wildly aware and thankful - due in part to her two closest friends, Akilah Watkins - Butler and Marshella Atkinson - Toldson.
Gratitude, grace, and Zen are the ethos of L B C, inspired by mentor Sheila “Diane” Caballero, model warrior and advocate.
To elevate her craft Lisa studied under Chef Philippe Kaemmerle at the Art Institute of New York City.
This trajectory speaks to Lisa’s commitment to community building through culinary. Through Lisa’s world travels, education, and apprenticeships - L B C is the perfect backdrop to enlist soulful, personal, heritage driven and conscious community alignments.
L B C is curatorial - L B C is editorial - L B C is beautiful.
